Hi, everyone! My name is Archi, and I recently visited Mumbai for an event called Creators United. Since I was already in Mumbai, I decided to explore the city for two days, even though my health wasn’t at its best. Here’s a summary of my trip and the amazing places I visited.
Day 1: Exploring Mumbai’s Iconic Spots
Gateway of India
My first stop was the Gateway of India, a must-see landmark in Mumbai. Located in the Colaba area, this grand monument stands right by the beautiful beach. I clicked some amazing pictures here, and it was great to see the iconic Taj Hotel directly opposite the Gateway. The best part is, there’s no entry fee, so you can easily spend your time enjoying the view and taking photos.
Marine Drive
After the Gateway of India, we headed to Marine Drive, one of the most beautiful places in Mumbai. Sitting in front of the beach and enjoying the serene view was truly relaxing. Marine Drive is also a great place to experience Mumbai’s vibrant nightlife. After spending some quality time here, we grabbed some snacks at McDonald’s and later went out for dinner before heading back to the hotel.
Staying at Garden Hotel
I stayed at the Garden Hotel, which is also located in the Colaba area. The hotel cost Rs. 5000 per night, and it was worth every penny. The rooms were neat and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel’s location was perfect, just a short walk from the Gateway of India.
Day 2: Morning Walk and Shopping
Morning Walk at Gateway of India
The next morning, I took a refreshing walk to the Gateway of India since my hotel was nearby. It was a peaceful way to start the day and enjoy the cool morning breeze.
Shopping at Colaba Market
After breakfast and freshening up, we went shopping at the Colaba Market. We spent around three hours exploring the market, which is known for its variety of items. Although we didn’t find anything interesting to buy this time, it was fun to wander through the bustling stalls and see what was on offer.
Lunch and Wrapping Up
After our shopping adventure, we went for lunch before concluding our trip. Despite not feeling my best, I was glad I made the most of my time in Mumbai and visited some of the city’s most iconic spots.
Conclusion
My two-day trip to Mumbai was short but sweet. From the historic Gateway of India to the serene Marine Drive, and the vibrant Colaba Market, every moment was memorable. Even though my health was not perfect, I enjoyed exploring the city and soaking in its unique charm. If you’re planning a trip to Mumbai, I highly recommend visiting these places for an unforgettable experience.
